About Author: Born on November 28, 1896, american philosopher and philosophy professor Irwin Edman was born in the rustling city of New York. His parents were Jewish and aided in Edman's education. He attended high school at Townsend Harrishall and then went to Columbia University to get his degree in philosophy. He later became a philosophy professor in Columbia University. He was a popular and well-liked professor that was known for the "charm and clarity of his writing, and for being an open minded critic". He died on September 4, 1954.
Synopsis: Philosopher's Quest is a bunch of short stories about Edman's life and his quest to find the meaning of his profession. Most of these stories are true stories that he experienced during his lifetime. In the beginning he introduces what philosophy means but later doubts his definition of philosophy and goes to seek an answer.
