1. How do interpersonal and employability skills effect your everyday life and your future?
A: They affects how we do everyday things, especially in work. They help to connect us with other people. 

2. What is graphic design and why is it important to communicate visually? 

A: Graphic design is artwork that is made on the computer and it is artwork that represent a company or who someone is. It is important because marketing relies heavily on graphic design to attract customers.

3. Why is it important to identify safety rules and to safely operate equipment utilized in the classroom?
A: It is important because it helps keep us and others safe. 


4. What are the elements of design and how are they incorporated into a design?
A: The elements of design are the line, value, color, texture space, form and shape. They are the basic of design that help to form a design.

5. What is a vector-based design and how is it created?
A: A vector-based design is a design that is not made up by a number of pixels. In other words it can be stretched or compressed to any size, and it will not be blurry. 

6. How is color used effectively in graphic design?
A: If and when color is used effectively the designers message is clear emphasized by the presentation of color.

7. What is a raster-based image and how is it created?
A:
A raster-based image is a type of digital image that is composed of individual pixels of various colors. Raster-based images allows the image to be rich in color, but manipulation of the image will cause image degradation.

8. How does the manipulation of size and resolution effect digital images?
A: On a vector-based images, manipulation of size and resolution does not have an affect on the images. However, on raster-based images are heavily effected by manipulation of both size and resolution. 

9.What is the function of the type within a design?
A: The function of type within a design is to fit with the setting of the design.

10.How do designers use a page layout program? 
 A: Designers use page layout program such as, Indesign, to bring in their designs from photoshop and to arrange them.


11.  What steps does a designer take to design a page layout from concept to final product?
A: The steps a designer does to is to sketch out a rough draft of the design then to design it on programs like photoshop and then to bring it into Indesign and then print it!

12. What are the key developments in the history of visual communication?  How did these developments shape our industry?
A: One of the key developments in the history of visual design is the development of written language. Written language allowed us to develop type to add to our designs.

13. What careers are available within the field of graphic designer? What profession are associated with the industry?
A: The 
careers available in the field of graphic designer are advertising/marketing designers, print publication designers, web designers, developers and etc.
 
14. Would I want to become an Illustrator or Graphic Designer? Explain.
A: I would want to become an Illustrator over becoming a graphic designer because I prefer to send messages through type design.
